Republican-ism
People often ask why I'm a Republican.  It's difficult to answer because the GOP has drifted away from their own principles.  However, in a two party system, the home of conservatism is the Republican Party.

Following are the Washington/Jefferson/Regan principles the Republicans (should) represent:

The federal government should have very limited authority over the state's (as defined in the Constitution).

Taxes should be very low.  National defense is the most important responsibility of the federal government.  Every other program should be cut-back or eliminated.

Our military should be, and is, the strongest in the world.

The Constitution should be the SUPREME document.  Honored and adhered to at all times.

Lower Taxes
Limited Federal Government
Respect for the Constitution

Simple!

Sarah Palin
Gov. Sarah Palin has the world view and the conservative values I would like to see in the White House.

There are thousands of people working in the Executive Branch of government.  The President's value comes not from his or her grasp of each and every policy, or each and every department.  The President's job is to set the tone, define the culture of the operation, bring in the right people, set the goals and lead the way.

Right now I see nobody better than Sarah Palin.
